In December, the Smith Douglas Homes Raleigh Division reached an exciting milestone: the closing of our 2,500th new home.

Since opening our first community in 2016, we’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of families achieve the dream of affordable homeownership near the Research Triangle in North Carolina. This accomplishment reflects years of dedication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to building high-quality, affordable new-construction homes in the communities we serve.

Our 2,500th closing was made even more meaningful by the family behind it.

In December 2025, Cole and Heather closed on their first home together. Recently married and raising their child, they chose a Lancaster floorplan in a now sold-out community. This milestone also provided an opportunity to support a local hometown hero. At Smith Douglas Homes, we proudly value the individuals who serve and protect our communities every day, and we’re honored to offer affordable new home opportunities close to where they live and work.

Every home represents opportunity and a foundation for the future. Reaching this milestone means 2,500 families are now part of the neighborhoods we help shape through new home construction in the Raleigh area and beyond.
